Azerbaijan is an obvious example of joint activities of state and religion, said Adel Al-Falah, Deputy Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait.
Joint activities of religion and state in Azerbaijan were made possible by the joint efforts of President Ilham Aliyev and the Head of the Caucasus Muslims Allahshukur Pashazade, said Al-Falah. According to him, the joint functioning of state and religion plays a great role in the stability in the region.
Despite the void in the religious sphere of Azerbaijan during the Soviet Union, after re-gaining independence, this void was filled with thoughts of moderation in Islam.
"Despite the void in the religious sphere of Azerbaijan during the Soviet Union, it is very good, that after re-gaining independence, Azerbaijan began to return to its religious and national traditions, and this emptiness was promptly filled with thoughts of moderation in Islam," said Al-Falah.
According to the deputy minister, one of the successful actions of Kuwait, which carries out a number of humanitarian programs in Azerbaijan, are efforts to build thought of moderation in Islam in the country.
"It should be noted that Allahshukur Pashazade has invaluable merits in filling voids of thoughts of moderation in Islam in the religious sphere," said Al-Falah.
Adel Al-Falah also noted that the meeting with Pashazade focused on the situation with moderate Islam in the religious sphere of Azerbaijan and the expansion of moderate Islam.
The official representative of Kuwait appreciated the fact that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev awarded him the Order "Dostlug" ("Friendship"), and expressed sense of pride.
"I am the first Arab, who President Ilham Aliyev awarded the Order "Dostlug", and it gives me a sense of pride. I express my gratitude to the President of the country," said Al-Falah.
The deputy minister said that he has always been close to Azerbaijan at all stages after Azerbaijani people re-gained independence, and is very proud of it.
"At all historical stages after the Azerbaijani people re-gained independence, I have always been close to Azerbaijan, always paid attention to the humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons, as well as strengthening relations between the two countries in the sphere of religion, politics and economics," said Al-Falah.
