The local regional tourism potential of Azerbaijan will be presented for the first time at the 9th Azerbaijani exhibition "Tourism and Travel", to be held April 28-30 in the Sport and Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev, director of Iteca Caspian company Farid Mammadov said at a press conference.
"The tourism potential of regions of the country will be presented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan", - Mammadov said.
According to him, in 2010 regional tourism sector of Azerbaijan, pavilion of exposition of recreation zones, the country's resorts and hotels will be presented for the first time. Visitors of the international exhibition will get a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the national colors of Azerbaijan's regions, get familiarized with a variety of rich folklore, cuisine and traditions.
The exhibition will be attended by 120 companies from 24 countries, covering 33 tourism directions, including Austria, Belarus, China, Germany, Italy, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Estonia and others.
The exhibition this year grew by 20 percent. In 2010, 14 countries are participating in the exhibition with their national stands, among them Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Malaysia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, newcomer to the exhibition will be Egypt, India, Italy (Lazio region, Rome), Mauritius, UAE, Russia.
