“France, as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group alongside with USA and Russia, is doing its best mediation efforts to assist the peaceful, fair and sustainable settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict which led to the confrontation between Azerbaijan and Armenia. On the initiative of mediator countries, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian met in Paris on June 26 to launch new negotiations.
Both ministers had constructive talks separately with the co-chairs at first and then with each other in the presence of the co-chairs to search opportunities for continuation of the positive meeting between President Aliyev and President Sargsyan in St Petersburg.
The talks allowed to strengthen the progress reached in St Petersburg and to determine possible progress in future and the co-chairs made new compromise proposals in these fields.
In this context, the co-chairs decided to visit Baku and Yerevan, as well as Nagorno Karabakh early next month to organize the next meeting between the presidents in Moscow in the middle July”.
