Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev left for Islamic Republic of Iran for an official visit, President’s press service told APA.

Head of President’s Office Ramiz Mehdiyev and Mayor of Baku Hajibala Abutalibov saw the president off from Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Guard of honor was organized at Mehrabad airport of Tehran decorated with state flags of Azerbaijan and Iran. Foreign Minister of Iran Manochehr Mottaki and other officials welcomed Azerbaijani President.
