ELMAR MAMMADYAROV TO ATTEND DISCUSSIONS IN NATO+AZERBAIJAN FORMAT IN BRUSSELS TOMORROW
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will visit several countries this month.Spokesman for Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim told APA that the minister would leave for Brussels the next day and attend the discussions on assessing Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) in NATO Headquarters.
Discussions in ‘26+1’ (NATO+Azerbaijan) format will be held within the framework of North Atlantic Council. Elmar Mammadyarov is expected to meet with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and other officials. The visit will last for two days. Elmar Mammadyarov will pay a business visit to London on September 18. The Minister will meet with UK Foreign Minister David Miliband. Elmar Mammadyarov will make speeches in International Institute for Strategic Studies and give interviews. On September 20-29 Elmar Mammadyarov will be in New York to attend the session of UN General Assembly. The Foreign Minister will have a number of bilateral meetings. Elmar Mammadyarov will also address the session on September 29.
