NATO URGES RUSSIA TO REVERSE ITS DECISION TO RECOGNIZE SEPARATIST REGIONS
North Atlantic Alliance urged Russia to reverse its decision to recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. APA reports that the statement released by NATO says the organization members condemn the decision of the Russian Federation and call on Russia to respect Georgia’s territorial integrity.
“Russia’s actions have called into question its commitment to peace and security in the Caucasus. Georgia’s recovery of stability and security are important to the alliance," says the statement.
