Explosion occurred in Turkish part of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The blast happened in the underground pipe near Refahiye settlement of Erzincan province. APA reports quoting Ihlas news agency that the blast occurred in 52km of Erzincan-Sivas highway. The blast was followed by a strong fire. The flames were about 50m high. The neighboring villages and forest strip were not damaged, as the fire was prevented in time. Oil transportation through the pipe was suspended after the blast.
