ROMANIAN AMBASSADOR: “I WAS HORRIFIED AT SIGHT I HAVE SEEN IN VILLAGES BORDERING WITH ARMENIA”
“I was disappointed with the sight I have seen in Tovuz’s villages bordering with Armenia. It is horrible that people live in such situation in 21st century”, Romanian ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolae Urike, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan’s Tovuz Region, told APA Western bureau. He said he saw situation in border areas different from what described media. “I saw real situation, which is quite different from what I read in newspapers and watched on TV. Military servicemen recommended me not to enter into Alibeyli Village because of security. They said Armenians have regularly violated ceasefire regime since last evening and even their snipers were shooting peaceful people working in the fields”. Ambassador said peaceful and soonest settlement of the conflict was important for solution of all these problems. “Romania supports peaceful solution to the conflict. This conflict should be solved only within the norms of international law”.
