President of Poland Lech Kaczyński refused to initial Lisbon Treaty envisaging reforms in the European Union. APA reports Polish president said that it was useless to sign the agreement after the known results of the referendum in Ireland. The majority of people voted against Lisbon Treaty during the referendum in Ireland. According to Kaczyński, if one of the EU countries refuses to sign this agreement, other countries’ signing this document is of no importance. German President Horst Keller had refused to sign Lisbon Treaty before. 19 out of 27 members of the European Union have ratified Lisbon Treaty so far.
