ARAZ AZIMOV: “ARMENIA SHOULD BE FORCED BY CONCRETE MEASURES TO GIVE UP ITS POSITION NOT TO RECOGNIZE AZERBAIJAN’S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY AND CONTINUATION OF THE OCCUPATION”
“Co-chairs do not visit the region for a long time. For the next time they will discuss with the officials the development of process on the results of St-Petersburg meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents”, Araz Azimov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan told APAexclusively. He said the public community expected concrete measures from the co-chairs and said effective measures should be taken to force Armenia to give up its position not to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and continuation of the occupation. “Concrete measures should be taken to force Armenia to leave its non-constructive position and to continue negotiations on the common denominator”.
Regarding Armenian president Serj Sargsyan’s upcoming visit to Moscow, Azimov said he didn’t think that this visit had an instructive character. “The visit should be reviewed within the framework of Russia-Armenia relations. Russia plays an important role in Armenia’s life and Russian position has a great economic, political and military impact on Armenia. Of course, Sargsyan cannot lose sight of all these impacts”.
The co-chairs will visit the region next week.
