Azerbaijanis, Turks hold protest action against France
Residents of Houston of the Azerbaijani and Turkish origin gathered outside the French consulate in Houston to protest French Senate’s Armenian genocide bill.
Members of the U.S. Azerbaijanis network, American Turks Network, Houston US-Turkish circles and the Houston group of Ataturk followers held protest action in front of the French consulate protesting the French Senate’s bill criminalizing a denial of so-called "Armenian genocide".
The demonstrators were carrying Azerbaijani and Turkish flags and placards with slogans: "France violates freedom of speech," "We demand withdrawal of France from the OSCE Minsk Group" and so on. The protesters said that the decision of French Senate is a grave accusation against the Turkic world and it violates freedom of speech and expression.
