Azerbaijan`s President receives speaker of South Korean National Assembly
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today speaker of the Republic of Korea`s National Assembly Park Hee-tae and his accompanying delegation. President Aliyev said relations between republics of Azerbaijan and Korea were developing successfully. The Head of State praised political relationship between the two countries, adding bilateral economic cooperation has good results, as well. The Azerbaijani leader also noted trade turnover between the two countries increases rapidly.

The President expressed satisfaction with the participation of Korean companies in projects, which are important for Azerbaijan. He also added Azerbaijan was interested in expansion of this cooperation even more.

President Aliyev also underscored the importance of interparliamentary ties in development of cooperation between the two countries. He expressed assurance that Park Hee-tae`s visit to Azerbaijan would be successful in terms of conducting fruitful negotiations and discussions to expand bilateral cooperation.

Park Hee-tae expressed satisfaction with his first visit to Azerbaijan as a speaker of the National Assembly. He said the purpose of the visit was to participate in events to mark the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between republics of Azerbaijan and Korea and hold discussions to expand bilateral cooperation.

Park Hee-tae also highly appreciated the ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan. He noted great progress had been made in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

The sides also noted Azerbaijan and Korea were interested in boosting cooperation in information and communication technologies, tourism and other spheres.
