Azerbaijan and Argentina signed a memorandum of understanding in the spheres of innovation, technology research and science, Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry said on Thursday.
The agreement was signed between the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry and Argentine Science, Technology and Productive Innovation Ministry in Baku on Nov.2. From the Azerbaijani side the document was signed by the Minister Shahin Mustafayev, while from the Argentine side - Minister Lino Baranao.
The document envisages joint research, preparation of innovative projects and organization of round tables and workshops in such spheres as innovation, technology and scientific research.
The meeting also discussed the current level of bilateral relations, prospects of cooperation, as well as the need to identify priority investment spheres to expand cooperation. In this regard, the need for information exchange, holding business forums, exhibitions and presentations, as well as establishing cooperation between AZPROMO and the relevant agency of Argentine was stressed.
Within the visit, the Argentine delegation headed by Baranao is expected to visit Azerbaijani regions.
