‘Azerbaijan is one of important members of International Labor Organization’
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Fizuli Alakbarov yesterday met with a delegation from International Labor Organization (ILO). The meeting discussed a wide range of issues, including increasing role of transnational companies in ensuring a decent work and social partnership with those companies.
Alakbarov said Azerbaijan`s new target is to improve current labor potential in accordance with economic progress and ensuring a decent work. The Minister said the main goal is to apply social partnership principles to transnational companies working in Azerbaijan.
ILO delegation praised efforts of Azerbaijani government to provide decent work in the country and cooperation with the organization. They said Azerbaijan is one of the important members of the organization and ILA will always support the country.
