Inter-parliamentary friendship group will be set up between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria
Azerbaijani ambassador to Bulgaria, Emil Karimov met with the chairwoman of the National Assembly of this country Tsestka Tsacheva on Monday.

As reported by Trend according to Azerbaijani Embassy in Bulgaria, ambassador spoke about the social-economic development of Azerbaijan, energy policy, the successful reforms in other areas, as well about Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the meeting.

Kerimov, emphasizing the importance given to Bulgaria to cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy field, emphasized the development of relations in the field of education, culture, tourism, agriculture, light industry, noting that there is great potential for this.

Speaking about the role of parliaments in promoting relations between the two countries, the ambassador said that these relations have a positive influence on the Azerbaijani-Bulgarian cooperation. According to him, Azerbaijan attaches great importance to inter-parliamentary relations and is willing to undertake the necessary measures in this direction.

The diplomat informed the participants about the set up inter-parliamentary friendship group, noted the importance of mutual visits, exchange of experience in the development of inter-parliamentary ties and invited T. Tsacheva to visit Azerbaijan with official visit.
T. Tsacheva said leadership of Azerbaijan in the region and the importance of our country to Europe and the world. According to her, Bulgaria pays special attention to developing relations with Azerbaijan in the energy sector and seeks to participate in all projects aimed at ensuring energy security in Europe.

Chairman of the National Assembly informed the participants about the situation in the field of tourism, agriculture and light industry of the country and stressed the importance of cooperation in these areas.
