EKA TKESHELASHVILI, 31 BECOMES GEORGIAN FOREIGN MINISTER

Prosecutor General of Georgia Eka Tkeshelashvili has been appointed as Foreign Minister of the country, APA quotes Georgian sites.
Tkeshelashvili will participate at the government’s meeting on Tuesday as a minister. David Barkadze has resigned from the post of Foreign Minister because he runs for Parliament as the first candidate of the ruling party.
Eka Tkeshelashvili was born on May 23, 1977 in Tbilisi. He graduated from the International Law and International Relations School of Tbilisi University. He worked for International Committee of the Red Cross and was appointed as Deputy Justice Minister after the “Rose Revolution”. He was appointed as Deputy Interior Minister in 2005. Then he worked as a chairman of Tbilisi Court of Appeal, Justice Minister and Prosecutor General as well.
