WAR AGAINST IRAN Neither United States nor Israel want to risk with an attack to Iran, - said the head of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Manuchohr Mottaki in the beginning of July. In his interview to " Associated Press" agency Mottaki particularly noted that the attack to Iran from the USA is improbable, as, the American militants as it was expressed, already are "destroyed" in Irag and Afghanistan.
But Iran will consider any aggressive actions against itself " as the beginning of war ". ITAR-TASS transfers that the commander-in-chief of the Corps of " guards of Islamic revolution "/ elite parts of armed forces/ of Islamic Republic,general-major Mohammad Ali Dzhaafari declared it.
The next coil of tension around Iran was provoked in June by several publications in the international press that became direct or indirect acknowledgement of that Israel does not exclude the opportunity of using force to make Tehran to refuse works on enrichment of uranium.
In turn, the president of the USA George Bush confirmed on Wednesday that Washington potentially didn’t exclude any variants of actions concerning Islamic Republic, but intented to make diplomatic decision about Iranian nuclear problem. |

IRAN-USA In July the head of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Manuchohr Mottaki, giving a speech in the United Nations, stated the readiness of Tehran for restoration of diplomatic presence of the USA in Iran and opening of direct flights between two states.

CASPIAN According to agency " Mourge ", the director of the Organization of fishery and pisciculture of Iran ("Shilat") Vahid Zare declared that in the Caspian sea 10 fishing boats that converted from fishing schooners,engaged with fishing of tows, for surveillance in the sea and liquidation of proacher networks.
According to Vahid Zare the way of fishing with tral in deep-water and surface, applied at a fishing of various kinds of fishes, leads to serious problems from the point of view of preservation of sea fish stocks.
There is a question on the agenda of work of the Organization "Shilat" that an introduction of new ways of fishing and development of the schedule of the resolved fishing convenient for fishermen. It will allow to reduce quantity of problems with which fishermen collide, and to provide safety of fish stocks. |

TOTAL IN IRAN In the beginning of July the news spread that French Total refused investments into discovery of gas deposits in Iran. The reason explained by the Chief of French company " Total " Christofer
De Marjeri was named a dangerous political situation in Iran.
Associated with this situation Minister of Oil Industry of Iran Gulamhuyesn Nazari told:” We already declared that if someone wishes to put investments into Iran it is able to do it, if doesn’t want - we don’t insist, we are capable to carry out the plans ".
Nazari added that this theme should be investigated because " De Marjeri during last our meeting at the session in Madrid insisted on an investment of capitals into Iran and other potential countries, with the purpose of providing security in the future ". |

TURKMENISTAN –JULY 2008 President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev visited Turkmenistan with the invitation of counterpart Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov on 4-5th of July (Ria Novosti).Mr Medvedev came to ashgabad after meeting the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku,on 5th of July went to Kazakhistan and then to Japan to take part in the Group of Eight summit.The members of delegation accompanying him were: head of the government Sergey Prixodko,Minister of Culture Alexander Avdeev,Minister of Power Engineering Sergey Shmatko and also leaders Russian oblasts,president of “Lukoil” Vahid Alekberov,representative of “Gasprom” Aleksey Miller,codirector of “Taftneft” Shafagat Takhaudinov.Wthin the visit parties discussed saving peace and security,struggle against terrorism and drugs and emphasized the importance of giving special attention to keeping coorperation on these issues in the future.They talked on the Declaration of Second Caspian Summit.It must be accented that Second Caspian Summit Declaration was adopted in the October of previous year in Tehran.State leaders decided to show determination in realizing of decisions and creating initial terms for calling Third Summit of Leaders of Caspian shore states.The practical result of mutual agreement on actual themes of international life was the opening of regional centre for preventive diplomacy on Central Asia countries in Ashgabad.During the visit president of RF Dmitry Medvedev”s vist to Ashgabad 4 documents were signed between Russia and Turkmenistan .After negotiations Russian leader signed an agreement with Turkman president on coorperation between 2 states on keeping secret information.Several bilateral documents and official agreements,Russian-turkmen joint declaration as well,agreement on education sphere,coorperation program between MFAs,Coorperation Memorandum between Ministry of Culture for 2008-2010 years were signed.Ria Novosti informs that Russian president Dmitriy Medvedev invited his turkman counterpart Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov to Russia with an official visit.The invitation was accepted with pleasure.The duration and format of visit will be defined through diplomatic negotiations (Ria Novosti).The press service of Turkmenistan President says that Turkmenistna President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov appreciates Russian-turkmen negotiations highly.Opening the government meeting Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov specially emphasized the results of Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev’s visit to Ashgabad. |
