HEAD OF MFA OF IRAN: TEHRAN IS READY FOR MEDIATION BETWEEN BAKU AND YEREVAN ON NAGORNY KARABAKH CONFLICT
“There are many hot spots in Caucasus, but last events became the reason of occurrence more regional problems ”, - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Manuchohr Mottaki declared in the press conference in Teheran with the accompaniment of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Eduard Nalbandyan. Manuchohr Mottaki noted that Iran, being the neighbour of the Caucasian region suggested to lead consultation between the countries of the region with the purpose of an establishment of cooperation. According to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Eduard Nalbandyan's visit to Tehran is an excellent opportunity to finish one of stages of negotiations of Iranian offer. Manuchohr Mottaki noted that Armenia and Iran divide common interests and take of a similar position on regional problems. In his turn the head of foreign policy of Armenia Eduard Nalbandyan noticed that Armenia and Iran take of an identical position on last events in Georgia and emphasized that Iran has very interesting ideas and offers, Yerevan in turn will continue dialogue with Tehran on an establishment of safety and stability in the region, informs Iranian agency PRESS TV.
