TRAINING “MANAGEMENT OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS”

After Azerbaijan gained its independence along with state structures there began to appear non-governmental organizations. The main problem those non-governmental organizations encountered was management problem. If to take into consideration that professionals having proper abilities and knowledge in this sphere must be involved to management of NGO’s then we can easily imagine the scene of our NGO’s. For organizations that will realize various projects it is extremely important to understand the issues on managing the grants to determine the sustainability of the project, budget capacity, quantity of employees and etc. correctly.



TRAINING “MANAGEMENT OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS”

Taking into account the importance of professional approach to NGO management in reaching the objectives necessity of enlightenment in this sphere is obvious. With this purpose on October 25-26, 2004 “Caspian – Partnership for the Future” Public Union and Conrad Adenauer Foundation held two day training on “NGO Management” in the frames of joint project. We have to mention that the conduction of those kinds of trainings is the contribution of our organization into the development of third sector (NGO sector) in Azerbaijan.Objectives of the training – introduce local NGO’s to the basis of management and fundraising, to enlighten them on the issues like successful grant-project writing and so on. Seminar participants were heads and employees of local NGO’s in Azerbaijan.


TRAINING “MANAGEMENT OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS”

Training was held by the representative of Conrad Adenauer Foundation Abdullah Mammadjanov and political analyzer Anna-Maria Kesser. They explained to seminar participants how to write projects and receive grants for their implementation, how to organize and conduct conferences and in general how to manage the grant means. Besides, Abdullah Mammadjanov from Conrad Adenauer Foundation Tashkent office shared Uzbekistani experience of NGO functioning in the development of civil society. Political Analyzer Anna-Maria Kesser told about the role of NGO in democratic society and women’s role in politics and NGO.
