TRAINING “MANAGEMENT OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS” After Azerbaijan gained its independence along with state structures there began to appear non-governmental organizations. The main problem those non-governmental organizations encountered was management problem. If to take into consideration that professionals having proper abilities and knowledge in this sphere must be involved to management of NGO’s then we can easily imagine the scene of our NGO’s. For organizations that will realize various projects it is extremely important to understand the issues on managing the grants to determine the sustainability of the project, budget capacity, quantity of employees and etc. correctly. Taking into account the importance of professional approach to NGO management in reaching the objectives necessity of enlightenment in this sphere is obvious. With this purpose on October 25-26, 2004 “Caspian – Partnership for the Future” Public Union and Conrad Adenauer Foundation held two day training on “NGO Management” in the frames of joint project. We have to mention that the conduction of those kinds of trainings is the contribution of our organization into the development of third sector (NGO sector) in Azerbaijan.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR “MUNICIPALITIES DURING GLOBALIZATION PERIOD: GERMAN AND AZERBAIJANIAN EXPERIENCE” One of the main steps taken by Azerbaijan after gaining independence became creation of municipalities (local self-government bodies). Those structures are usually created for assisting democratization process of state executive mechanism on local scale. Main aim behind establishing municipalities is to attract capable, initiative people to settlements of local problems and that is why they are empowered with certain competences. From the other side, Azerbaijan as a young state that took the course of integrating into Europe needs experience of European partners. With this purpose on October 25, 2004 “Caspian – Partnership for the Future” Public Union and German Foundation named after Conrad Adenauer held joint seminar with the participation of experts from Germany.

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR "MEDIA AND POLITICS" The role of Mass Media in Politics grows faster in modern time. It is not surprising that Mass Media is considered IV body of state power. Mass Media is a structure that informs the society in political, economic, social and other spheres and as a result of their activity people receive information on what’s going on in their country. Taking into consideration this fact we have to mention that Mass Media and politics are related to each other very closely.
